In 1974, Barry Bonds’ father, Bobby, left the Giants for the Yankees. A newspaper reported:
Barry Bonds, 10, son of Bobby Bonds, was asked in San Carlos (on the Peninsula, a little south of San Francisco) what he thought of his father being traded from the San Francisco Giants to the New York Yankees. “I don’t want to go anywhere,” said Barry, “because I’m playing Little League baseball.” Barry plays for the San Carlos Yankees.
